This year’s edition will include recitals performed by Mircea Vintila, beside his band Brambura, Victor Socaciu and Biroul Executiv, Mircea Baniciu, accompanied by former Colibri member Vladi Cnejevici, singer Ducu Bertzi, the impressive Tatiana Stepa and Ada Milea, Dinu Olarasu, Vasile Seicaru, as well as eccentric singers Pavel Stratan and Daniel Iancu - the latter attending the “Om bun” Folk Gala for the first time. The singer and composer Adrian Ivanitchi, born in Sighisoara, will be the host of the show.
The Gala will include a moment when all the artists will perform some of the great songs of Romanian and international folk. The one who gathers you. Let’s improve our lives with a song,” - the great harmony and poetry lover Victor Socaciu.
The first edition of the “Om bun” Folk Gala took place in 1996, in the impressive scenery provided by the Castle of the Counts of Hunedoara. The performance lasted for over six hours and an enthusiastic audience cheered the performances evolutions of some of the most important singers and composers of that time. Following editions took place in Deva, in Mangalia, in Constanta, in Targu Mures and the last four of them in Bucharest. by Nine oClockhttp://images.google.ro/imgres?imgurl=http://www.nineoclock.ro/pic/logo.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.nineoclock.ro/index.php%3Fpage%3Ddetalii%26categorie%3Dculture%26id%3D20080229-505387&h=60&w=299&sz=15&hl=ro&start=97&um=1&tbnid=imlOSs2BC_IDUM:&tbnh=23&tbnw=116&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dfolk%2Bom%2Bbun%2B2008%252Bstratan%26start%3D80%26ndsp%3D20%26um%3D1%26hl%3Dro%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26channel%3Ds%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3D6nK%26sa%3DN
